Selected project examples: Training

Challenge & Target:
After many hirings in the middle management team of a company there was no homogenous competence level and the members of the middle management didn’t see themselves as a team. Target of the training was to establish a common understanding of what leadership should mean in the company, acquire new competences as a team as well as individually and define concrete steps to establishing a new leadership culture in the company.


Approach & Result:
To uncover controversial perspectives and understand each other’s backgrounds the participants were asked to position themselves to leadership citations and according to their own leadership experience. Afterwards leadership tasks were collected and discussed in group work with an additional short theoretical input.
Repeatedly teambuilding or group dynamic exercises were integrated in the training to reveal and process hidden oppositions.
Leadership theories and instruments were introduced, applicability in the company context was analyzed and worked on in groups, transfer was ensured.
A theoretical input and group work on leadership culture followed to ensure the newly acquired competencies could be integrated into daily leadership work. Finally difficult leadership situations were collected and practiced in role plays with reference to what was learnt during the training.
Continuously concrete change needs of the participants and common To Dos were collected and visualized to ensure the transfer of the results. The training was documented in a photo protocol incl. a project plan for the implementation of the identified changes.
